So, you've purchased the Banner Operational Data Store (ODS) and/or the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW). Now you are ready to start using it. More importantly, start using it optimally. To help you with that, we tailor our training courses specifically for the Banner ODS and EDW. S2: Introduction to Metadata Modeling Mentoring
Our Banner version of this session provides a general overview of data modeling techniques with Framework Manager using the Banner Framework Manager model.
This mentoring session also demonstrates how Banner data that is excluded from the ODS model can be integrated into reports. We conduct exercises that show how drill throughs can be set up from Banner reports to other reports consuming data sources outside of ODS, such as Banner itself.

Our Banner examples are based on the most common reporting areas, such as academic periods, colleges, departments, subjects, courses, enrollment counts, and credits.

The Banner EDW ships with pre-developed Transformer/Cube models. If you choose to leverage only what Banner provides, this course is optional and in most cases unnecessary. If you choose to develop your own Cubes, then this course is highly recommended.
